Rainforests are part of the Earth’s natural ‘life support system’; an invisible world of interconnected cycles that support life on Earth. Rainforests are under threat;

Eden Project

In collaboration with Experiential Art Collective, Marshmallow Laser Feast, Eden Project has developed two augmented reality (AR) experiences within the Rainforest Biome that visualise unseen perspectives of the rainforest and invite you to consider what they may teach us about interconnectedness in nature and our interaction with the natural world.

‘Living Lens’ uses cutting edge, environment-responsive AR to represent plants through the senses of different animals. ‘Weather Maker’ visualises the inner workings of a tree from a 360 camera that travels up and down its trunk.

Sound Design by Studio Antoine Bertin

The experiences were initially developed as part of the Eden Universe research project, and are now available online. Enter the Invisible Rainforest here.
