A workshop exploring architecture of the ear, acoustic of materials and listening experience design.

Participants are invited to develop objects exploring listening situations and possibilities of tomorrow. Exploring together history of sound technology, psychoacoustics, sound art practices and more, the group experiment and develop accessories for the ears. These objects are activated through the creation of short “mise en scène” videos detailing the design and functioning of these speculative devices.

This workshop was developed for HEAD Geneva MA in jewellery and accessory design.

Skills participants learn: Physics of sound, psychoacoustics, history of sound art, sound-driven material design, sound editing for video (ableton live)
